Promotion includes all methods of getting a product known and purchased by a customer. When developing a promotional strategy, you want to consider:

  • how will you let your potential customers know about your product?
  • methods to persuade and influence potential customers to buy your product

When determining your promotional strategy you must consider your customer and your distribution channel.

Promotion includes:

  • advertising - done through the mass media
  • publicity - through articles in newsletters, newspapers, and magazines
